The Philadelphia Flyers tonight became the 4th team in North American pro sports history to come back and win the series after being down 3-0! Only the 4th team in PRO SPORTS HISTORY!
That's serious! This team made history tonight and no one can deny it. Say what you want about Philadelphia. There are those who like to talk about our sports teams and fans in a, let's say, negative light. You can't say we don't have heart.
Tonight's game even started with them down 3-0. And they fought their way back to a 4-3 victory.
Our boys in orange and black soared tonight. We are a VERY proud city.

I'm so glad it's Friday. The anticipation of the weekend always seems to make Friday a good day. So I guess that's why it's the perfect day to meet new people, and thus Follow Friday! (Or is it really just because of the alliteration?)
Today, I'm mostly anticipating the UPS truck though. I received a phone call from UPS telling me a package was coming that requires a signature! I have no idea what it could be, but I'm excited for the surprise! I'll share later today when it arrives! :)

I love music. All kinds. I'm always interested in hearing new artists and bands. When the One2One Network gave me the opportunity to listen to and review the debut album of One eskimO, I was excited for the chance.
Here's a little information on the band...
One eskimO is from England, fronted by singer-songwriter Kristian Leontiou and includes musicians Pete Rinaldi (guitar), Jamie Sefton (bass, horns) and Adam Falkner (drums). They toured with Tori Amos and Gomez in 2009 and start their tour with Michael Franti and Spearhead tomorrow. Their performance at Coachella this year drew in nearly 1200 fans as they opened the festival day on Sunday.
They've been described by Billboard Magazine as "...catchy, ambient pop" and I totally agree. I popped in the cd yesterday while I was working at the computer and I really loved their sound. It's perfect for listening while you're working, either at the computer or around the house. And even though we're calling it "ambient", that doesn't mean it's sleepy. It just sets a wonderfully "chill" atmosphere. It's a nice, relaxing listen. It's difficult for me to choose an artist or band they remind me of though. In one moment, I'll hear a little Dave Matthews and in the next I'll hear some Coldplay influence. One eskimO is definitely not a copycat band though. They have a really unique sound that's cool and modern. I'm really digging this album. (Yes, I'm listening to it again today!)
Their hit single, "Kandi" was a Starbucks "Pick of the Week" in September and was just licensed by the TV Show, Bones.
One of my favorite tracks on the album is Astronauts and you can download this one free by sharing on Twitter here. It's a great album that really sets the mood. I hope you'll check it out!
