Babies are here!

I want to take a quick moment and welcome some new members of my family. My cousin Mallory gave birth to twin boys this afternoon!

Please help me welcome Caleb Chase at 5lbs 6oz and Landon Tyler at 5lbs 5oz.

Mommy and babies are doing well! :)

Cravings

Just a little while ago, I got an unusual craving. Usually, it's candy...usually Take 5's or jellybeans. Sometimes it's ice cream or Frito's. But today it was music. I got a sudden craving to listen to Taking The Long Way by the Dixie Chicks. I had really forgotten how good it is. I've always enjoyed country music, but I never really classified myself as a "country music fan." I like a lot of pop and indie pop/rock and always put my taste in that category. Sometimes though, certain music is just so good, it doesn't even matter what genre it is. I felt the same way when I first heard the band Sugarland too. Really good stuff. Anybody else have any musical cravings lately?

Modern Moments Cards

In January, I entered a giveaway on Saving in Style and won a Gift Certificate to Modern Moments. Modern Moments is a wonderful card shop! They have beautiful invitations, thank you notes, mommy contact cards, labels and announcements. They do a lot of custom work too!

Jessica, the store's owner and designer, worked with me to design a custom set of thank you cards and they turned out beautifully!

Alanis is Back!

I'm really excited about this new album, Flavors of Entanglement. Louder, rockin tracks hang out with pretty ones and they blend to form an outstanding record. Favorite tracks include Citizen of the Planet, Torch, and Versions of Violence. Definitely check them out. It's nice to have an album, however, that I can listen to straight through without skipping tracks. This is one of those albums! It's beautiful and strong. Listening to this album brings me back to the feelings I had for Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie. The lyrics are raw and heartfelt. This is just so so good. You should really be listening to it by now!
