Help!

Apparently my blog updates are not updating in the reading lists of my followers. This worries me because I don't want you all to think I'm slacking! Plus today's post is really important! There's a Spring Bash going on!! Yesterday's posts did update, so maybe they're just having issues with some of the blogs today. If you're one of my followers and you do get this post in your reading list, please comment or email me. Thanks for your help!

Saved By the Bell Reunion?

Since Conan O'Brien will be taking over Leno's place hosting The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon has taken the reins at Late Night. So far, I think he's doing a pretty good job. I'm enjoying his guests and the jokes.

Friday night, Jimmy mentioned that this year is Saved By The Bell's 20th anniversary and announced a plea to the cast to reunite! I grew up watching this show with my brother and it will always hold a special place in my heart. To this day, I am still pretty good at SBTB trivia. Feel free to test me!

So when I saw that Jimmy had a petition on his show's site for the reunion, I was pretty excited. There are over 9,000 signatures already! Jimmy even had Dennis Haskins (Mr. Belding) show up on the set to join in on the plea! Late Night is specifically asking for Lark Vorhies (Lisa), Dustin Diamond (Screech), Mario Lopez (Slater), Elizabeth Berkeley (Jessie), Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack) and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen (Kelly). I would love to have some of the other characters show up as well. What about Tori (Leanna Creel)? Maybe Tori Spelling would come back to reprise her role as Violet, Screech's girlfriend. Who would you love to see come back?

Check out Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to sign the petition and watch the clip from Friday's show!

Yay for Spring!

We had our first thunderstorm of the season late this afternoon. It only lasted about 15 minutes, but hooray for warmer weather!

I can't wait till I can go outside without a jacket everyday! It's not like we had an exceptionally bad winter, but I haven't wanted spring to arrive this badly in a long time. I have serious Spring fever. According to our local weather here in PA, this weekend is supposed to be sunny, dry and in the mid 60's. Keep your fingers crossed that the forecast doesn't change!

Last Night

I've been fighting this cold all week, and today I'm just feeling lousy. It's probably worse today because I went out last night but it was worth it. Last night, my boyfriend and I went to see an advanced screening of "I Love You, Man" starring Paul Rudd, Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, How I Met Your Mother) and Rashida Jones. The movie was really funny right from the start. Paul Rudd and Jason Segel usually make me laugh, but this movie really cracked me up. Paul Rudd's character is getting married and starts to feel self-conscious because he overhears his fiance telling her friends she's worried he doesn't have any guy friends. He sets out to find some guy friends and ends up in a "bromance" with Jason Segel. (Thanks for reminding me of the term, Rosie!) There was a really diverse group at the screening last night and everyone was laughing, so I think it will appeal to everyone. I'm pretty sure it's coming out this weekend everywhere, so go check it out if you're in the mood to laugh. This one will do it for you.

Even though it was a pretty nice night in Philly last night, I think I pushed it a bit being out so late. I'm going to go rest some more. I hope everyone's having a good day.

Love and Some Green

I'm posting this in green because it's St. Patty's Day and I don't want to get pinched! Did you know that if you don't wear green on St Patty's Day, people can pinch you?? I just found this out!! So No Pinching! I'm wearing green!!

On to the love...

Tanielle from The Polka Dot Daisy gave me an award!! I'm so honored and really flattered! My blog is pretty young. I don't have many followers or subscribers, but I'm really enjoying getting to know my fellow bloggers. But an award?! That's really wonderful! Thanks so much Tanielle! This means so much.

To pass it on, I have to name 10 things about myself...

1. I'm a procrastinator. I tend to put everything off til the last minute. I'm working on getting better though.

2. I'm allergic to cherries. I get hives and all itchy if I even touch a cherry. I thought I was over it, but I served a class of 1st graders cherry-jelly filled cookies last year and broke out all itchy for hours.

3. I worked at Starbucks for 3 years after college. I know their secrets! hee hee!

4. I have a beautiful godson who I love to spoil, but no kids yet. Someday soon, I hope! I have always wanted to be a mom.

5. My favorite place on earth is Disney World. Kinda funny for a girl with no kids, right? I guess my boyfriend and I are just kids at heart.

6. If I could only have one dessert for the rest of my life, I'd choose chocolate covered pretzels. I LOVE them!

7. I love crafts. I like to make jewelry, make cards, paint, knit, etc. You name it, I'll try it!

8. I'm a sweepstakes junkie. I love to enter contests online. I've been at it for about 4 years now and I've won some great things! Last fall, Dickie's clothing sent my boyfriend and I to Vegas on them! I've also won a Nintendo Wii, DS, a bicycle, jewelry, giftcards and lots of other fun prizes. It's a really fun and addictive hobby.

9. I love lipgloss and perfume, but I rarely remember to put them on. I wish I could figure out a way to remind myself to shine my lips and smell pretty.

10. I'm really having a good time with this blog. Thanks to all of my followers for reading!!

I'm passing this on to...

Jessica at Modern Moments

Karissa at Prissy Green

Thanks again Tanielle for the award!!

Birthday Wishes

I want to take a minute and wish my dear friend Caroline a very Happy Birthday! She's the kind of friend everyone should have. Want to help me celebrate? Leave her some wishes!

I won a GREAT gift!

Alexandra from Design {for} Baby offered a giveaway on her blog from Woodgroove and I won! Alexandra's blog offers wonderful giveaways, reviews of great baby (and mommy) products and much much more. I'm always finding great ideas and products on her site. So when I saw this giveaway from Woodgroove that Alexandra was offering, I was immediately intrigued.

Woodgroove makes beautiful, laser engraved gifts. They make gorgeous, personalized wooden baby blocks and growth charts. My cousin was expecting twins and I was constantly, and a bit obsessively I'll admit, searching for the perfect gifts for her. When I saw these blocks, I knew they would make a really special gift. So I was thrilled when Alexandra emailed me telling me I had won a personalized block in her giveaway. My cousin has a family of 5, including newborn twins Landon and Caleb, so I had each of their names engraved on a side of the block and put Family on the sixth side. Woodgroove even offers many different font possibilities and an interactive font tool so you can see exactly what your inscription will look like in the font you've chosen. It's very cool! I spent lots of time deciding on one font for my block.

Well, I received my block last week and it turned out BEAUTIFULLY! I was so so impressed when I opened it up. It came in a lovely little gift box packed with baby blue paper crinkles. How did they know it was a gift to celebrate newborn twin BOYS?! That mystery just added to the excitement. And because my cousin gave birth on Thursday, I was VERY excited to give this to her. I knew she was going to love it. And she did! She thought it was wonderful. And I felt like a really great cousin giving it to her.

My only disappointment is that, in my excitement about the new boys' arrival and the beauty of the block, I wrapped it and gave it to my cousin before I remembered to take a picture of it to feature on my blog! I'm sad that I don't have a picture to show you all, but take my word for it, it came out exactly as Woodgroove's site said it would.

These are just a few examples of what you can do to personalize these blocks. They would make great gifts for new parents, teachers, grandparents, etc.

Big thanks to Alexandra from Design {for} Baby and Woodgroove for offering this giveaway! I'm thrilled with how the block turned out!

Cravings

Just a little while ago, I got an unusual craving. Usually, it's candy...usually Take 5's or jellybeans. Sometimes it's ice cream or Frito's. But today it was music. I got a sudden craving to listen to Taking The Long Way by the Dixie Chicks. I had really forgotten how good it is. I've always enjoyed country music, but I never really classified myself as a "country music fan." I like a lot of pop and indie pop/rock and always put my taste in that category. Sometimes though, certain music is just so good, it doesn't even matter what genre it is. I felt the same way when I first heard the band Sugarland too. Really good stuff. Anybody else have any musical cravings lately?
