The advent calendars I was used to as a child were heavy quality paper with little doors to open with animals or treats printed on the paper inside. More recently I've seen more and more creative advent calendars. Wooden boxes with tiny drawers with chocolates inside, clotheslines of tiny stockings or mittens numbered for each countdown day, and even handmade quilts with numbered pockets to hide a treasure inside.
This morning I found a really adorable idea. Look at this reusable advent calendar from Moore Magnets!
Magnetic Tin Advent Calendar from Moore Magnets - $22 |
Isn't it adorable? I love that you can reuse it every year. The tins are all magnetized too so you can just put them on your refrigerator. I think it's really wonderful!
Do you use an advent calendar to countdown the days til Christmas in your house? What style calendar do you use?
