Summer Bonding With Glue Dots

I love crafting. Paper crafts, jewelry-making, painting. You name it. I'll try it! (If I haven't already!) I also love trying to make something beautiful out of the scraps left over from previous projects. My favorite thing to make with scraps are cards and gift tags.

When Twittermoms and Glue Dots gave me the opportunity to try out Glue Dots adhesives, I was excited to try them. (Check out Twittermoms for more info on this opportunity!) Glue Dots sounded like the perfect solution to messy glue. I hate the sticky messes that come with using glue in projects and I've burned myself enough times on hot glue to know I'd rather stay away from the stuff. Glue Dots sounded like such an easy solution!

And I was right! Glue Dots made my card and gift tag projects so quick and easy. No burns and no sticky fingers!

Glue Dots are super-versatile and work on a variety of surfaces including: paper/photos, metal, wood, plastic, textiles and fibers, plastic, foam, and more! Glue Dots bond instantly, requiring no dry time so they provide instant gratification for kids and adults. They even make reusable Glue Dots, so you can reposition your photos. And they're non-toxic and acid-free so you don't have to worry about ruining your photographs or hurting your kids!

I decided to try out the Glue Dots by making a card and some gift tags. They worked wonderfully. I started out using scraps of paper to make a birthday card. The red gadget in the bottom left picture is a glue dots dispenser! Very handy! (I did find that the Glue Dots in the dispenser are fairly close together, so as you're rolling the dispenser, the dots are coming out quickly. I had some issues with glue dots coming out too close to the edge of my surface, so sometimes I had to pull off a dot from an edge and then the dot wasn't usable. Once I got used to moving a little more slowly, it worked for me just fine.)

I also made a couple of gift tags with some scraps I found in my paper box. I always make a point to turn scraps into something usable and I think they turned out really cute! I used some of the mini Glue Dots for the tiny embellishments and they were just the right size.

Glue Dots made these projects super easy and mess-free. I love to make tags for Christmas too, and this will make that project much easier.

Be sure to check out Glue Dots' Facebook Page for more info on this versatile product!
